At The Times of India’s ‘Viksit Uttar Pradesh: Vision 2047 Conclave’ held in Lucknow in late September 2025, renowned filmmaker Rahul Mittra shared his insights on Uttar Pradesh’s growing prominence in the film industry. Participating in a panel under the “Srijan Shakti” (Creative Power) pillar, Mittra emphasized the state’s rising potential as a global filmmaking destination.
He applauded UP’s strides in improving infrastructure, security, and access to local talent, stating that these developments lay the foundation for the state to become a comprehensive film industry hub by 2047. He also highlighted the importance of building value-added services such as post-production, sound, editing, and visual effects facilities to support a thriving ecosystem.
The conclave, inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, brought together leaders from various sectors to chart UP’s development roadmap. Discussions ranged from AI and renewable energy to social progress, with CM Adityanath outlining key initiatives and showcasing the state’s impressive economic trajectory.
Mittra’s vision reflects a growing optimism around Uttar Pradesh’s cultural and economic transformation in the coming decades.
