Filmmaker Rahul Mittra’s Talk Show on cinema & Jharkhand’s rich culture enthrals all
The cultural spotlight recently turned to Ranchi as several renowned filmmakers and artists gathered for the “Folklore and Filter Coffee — A Jharkhand Special Talk Show”, held on May 18, 2025, at 4 PM at the Chanakya BNR Hotel. Organized by Aditya Vikram Jaisawal, the event celebrated the intersection of cinema, culture, and storytelling on the sacred land of Lord Birsa Munda. Among the prominent participants were Rahul Rawail, veteran filmmaker and Chairperson of the National Film Awards, known for iconic films like Arjun, Betaab, and Arjun Pandit; and Rahul Mittra, award-winning filmmaker, actor, and branding expert behind movies like Bullet Raja, Sarkar 3, and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. The panel also featured Suvir Saran, celebrated writer and India’s first Michelin star chef, along with Kunika Sadanand, a popular actress and lawyer known for her work in TV shows like Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, and Akbar – Birbal. The talk show served as a vibrant platform to discuss cinema, culture, and creative expression rooted in regional heritage.
